TheHalcyon Symbios HANDSET, HUD, and Tank POD package offers a comprehensive solution for an innovative, future-proof echo system designed for discerning divers.
Able to accommodate up to 9 transmitters and support 5 OC/CCR gases, the Handset and HUD (Head-Up Display) computers share the same key features but in a different form factor. They can be used together or individually, with the HUD providing a significant hands-free advantage for rebreather divers, photographers, videographers, SAR divers, and Special Forces.
Together with the Symbios Handset, the HUD and handset form the core of Halcyons Symbios Technology, an ecosystem designed to enhance your diving experience with advanced features and prepare you for todays adventures and tomorrows challenges.
With their industry-leading wireless technology, the Symbios Tank Pods allow each unit to receive data from a wide range of sources, including RB, DPV, GPS/Positioning systems, trim, and more.
Vibration alerts and rechargeable batteries complement dive mode types, including multi-gas, OC, fixed, or integrated CCR, and Integrated Sidemount, Gauge, Buddy Screen, and Large-Format Screen options.
Operating on the reliable ZHL16-C algorithm with Gradient Factors, each computer offers clear, bright, and easily readable dive data. The handset’s 2.4 “screen provides a 320×240 resolution with a transflective full-colour display. The HUD’s 240×240 TFT full-colour micro-display gives divers a virtual image of approximately 20 x 20 cm from a 70cm distance.
The Symbios Handset is a multi-gas dive computer utilising the ZHL16-C algorithm with adjustable gradient factors, accommodating up to five gases for Open Circuit diving, fixed or integrated CCR, Integrated Sidemount, and Gauge modes.
Depth-rated to 120 metres, the Symbios operates on a rechargeable Li-ion battery, providing up to 30 hours of runtime with five brightness levels. The unit also displays the normal maximum average for any dive, CO2 levels, and the CNS and OTO accumulations, along with the gradient factor.
The Symbios’ 2.4″ transflective full-colour display offers excellent visibility and power efficiency and can be adjusted depending on the amount of ambient light on it. The screen reflects ambient light to improve clarity and allow visibility even with the backlight off; it performs exceptionally well in direct sunlight.
The handset uses “checksums” to isolate the potential for corrupt data. Symbios Technology reduces risk even compared to wired connections, where a corroded wire with high resistance sends compromised data.
The Symbios handset also gives you seamless rebreather integration. It effortlessly connects with the Halcyon Symbios Rebreather and is future-ready for wireless integration with an expanding range of rebreathers.
The set fulfils all EMC requirements and is FCC and CE compliant.
Moreover, with the Symbios, you can even monitor your dive buddy’s rebreather data or other available parameters, such as gas supply for paired transmitters.
TheHalcyon Symbios HUD dive computerwith tank pod is ideal for divers seeking hands-free monitoring via a sophisticated Head-Up Display. It will meet the requirements of expedition, rebreather, professional, and military divers, as well as underwater photographers and videographers.
The Symbios HUD will help any diver concentrate on their dive instead of constantly monitoring a wrist computer, and also supports up to 9 transmitters.
When mounted to a mask, this HUD is comfortable and lightweight. The clear information is readily available to CCR and Open-Circuit divers without the need to check a handset.
The Symbios HUD It is a small form factor multi-gas dive computer that uses the same ZHL16-C algorithmwith adjustable gradient factors. It can accommodate up tofive gases for Open-Circuit diving, fixed or integrated CCR, Integrated Sidemount, and Gauge modes.
The Symbios HUD is depth-rated to120 metresand operates on a rechargeable Li-ion battery, providing up to12 hours of runtimewithfive brightness levels. Similar to the Symbios handset, the unit also displays the normal maximum average for any dive, CO2 levels, and the CNS and OTO accumulations, along with the gradient factor.
The Symbios HUD’s TFT Full-colour display offers a virtual image of ~ 20x20cm2 at a distance of 70cm with a screen resolution of 240×240.
The Symbios HUD can be used alone, in conjunction with the Symbios Handset or Tank Pod, or as part of this complete set consisting of the Handset, Pod, and HUD. It has very similar functionalities to the handset, and all the screens are familiar, allowing easy access to the same information, but in a nice, small form factor.
With industry-leading wireless technology, the Symprosis handset and HUD dive computers can receive wide-ranging data fromup to 9 transmitters, including sources such as RB, DPV, HP, GPS/ Positioning systems, Trim, and more.

TheHalcyon Symbios Tank Pod works in conjunction with theSymbios HandsetandSymbios HUD systems, transmitting gas pressure and diver orientation (trim position).
The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod can be directly attached to a first stage or mounted on a short HP hose with a swivel, where greater flexibility is needed.
