The Shearwater Terndive computer is a powerful, simple, reliable, and compact watch-type computer designed with the sport diver in mind.
The Tern builds upon the success of the popular Shearwater Peregrine dive computer with an appearance similar to, yet lighter and thinner than, the Shearwater Teric.
The difference between the Tern and theShearwater Tern TX isn’t just the silver bezel and button colour (as opposed to the TX’s black), but that the Tern (non-TX) isn’t transmitter-capable, nor does it have a digital compass.
Neither Tern models have OC “mixed gas” technical and CCR modes as do the Shearwater Perdix 2, Teric and Petrel 3. However, both support Air, Nitrox, 3-Gas Nitrox, Gauge and Freedive modes with 500 hours of log time, which is plenty for a majority of divers.
The Tern & Tern TX are each depth-rated to 120 metres and tested to engineering EN standards for dive computer compliance.
With a watch-style form factor, the 1.3 diameter AMOLED screen (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode technology) provides crystal-clear visibility in various lighting conditions, making it easier than ever for divers to keep track of their crucial information.
Shearwaters high-resolution display features a vibrant, best-in-class interface that gives divers quick access to essential data, promoting safer and more enjoyable dives.
The Tern is an affordable option for anyone seeking
a compact sport diving computer.”
